Exhibited at the Royal Academy, Portland Gallery, and Society of British Artists. Briefly a member of the Hogarth Club, but was removed due to his differences with the Pre-Raphaelites. Married Henrietta Heaton on 23 August 1862. Contributed to London Society and The Quiver. Member of the Savage Club. Friends with James McNeil Whistler, George Du Maurier, and Edward Poynter.
