A large flock of birds gathers among rock formations and seaside cliffs. A dense flock
flies among the rocks in the foreground
and then ascends into the sky on the right side of the illustration. Several birds
perch on the rocks. The poem text is let in to a
rectangular blank space in the center-left section of the illustration. The rocks
in the foreground break the inset border along the
bottom edge, and the flock flies through the blank space along the bottom and right
edges. Full-page illustration contained within a
single-ruled border.
