The poem title, “FEBRUARY”, is formed from multiple thick branches. Small twigs and leaves intertwine with the letters. There are dense bushes in front of and behind the title. A fox ducks into a burrow to the left of the title. There is a hunting party in the background. Multiple men ride horseback alongside a pack of dogs. The men appear to be holding guns. Further in the distance, multiple men walk alongside horses. There are trees scattered throughout the illustration. Small branches form a partial figurative border around the bottom-right corner of the illustration. 1/2-page illustration contained within a single-ruled border.
