Illustrated poem page. The hand-drawn poem title is centered at the top of the illustration;
the letters hang from rings which
attach to the top edge of the border. The hand-drawn poem text is separated into two
sections and then placed on two large leaves.
The first letter from the first word of each line, as well as from the words “March”,
“Earth”, “Nature”, “West”, “Thing”, “He”, and
“Spring” are outlined. Flowers with their stems and leaves surround the large leaves
and fill the space behind the title. The plants
are densely packed. Full-page illustration partially contained in a rectangular border;
the border is thicker along the top, left,
and bottom edges.
