Sonnet sequences

The Sonnet Sequence subcollection includes all encoded sonnet sequences from the Digital Victorian Periodical Poetry corpus. The anthology includes sequences that are indexed as one complete poem as well as sequences that we index as consisting of separate but related poems (because each sonnet can be approached as an independent poem). Each sonnet has also been assigned a genre: Petrarchan, Shakespearean, Spenserian, hybrid, or irregular (our project documentation provides definitions). Sequences encoded as one poem may have multiple assigned sonnet genres reflecting the various rhyme schemes within the sequence. For the complete sonnet listings page, which includes all encoded sonnets, please see here. (KAF)
